Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! Today I will be discussing my journey in creating my very own magazine cover. It was a really fun experience and I got to use much of my creative abilities, so let's get right into to the new things I learned and the hardships I faced
I had never so much as attempted to create a magazine cover before so I was a little nervous at first but after learning about the different conventions and what goes into a magazine cover I realized that it might not be that difficult after all. I learned about the mast head which is basically the tile of the magazine. I used a huge letter size and different color in order to make it stand out and look nice. I also came up with a catchy title that was short and simple to fit the vibe of a magazine
When it came to other conventions like the banner, and the coverlines, it was pretty easy to get them onto the magazine. I used the same font as the mast head to keep the same vibe throughout the magazine. I also used puffers and I did this by clicking on the rectangle in the corner and choosing the circle, then drawing the circle to fit the puffer. I did the same thing for the banner but used the rectangle.
I also used coverlines which are another convention of magazines. I feel like adding the coverlines really added to the magazine and that's when things started really coming together. I added exclamation marks to make the statements stand out and I think it also helped add to the magazine.
Overall, making a magazine cover was really fun and I learned a lot. Seeing the different conventions and using the when making made me realize all the things that go into making a magazine. Anyways thank you so much for reading! Until next time byeeeeee!
