The Process of Premiere

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be discussing my experience Premiere Pro so let's get right into it!

For those of you who don't know, Premiere Pro is an editing software used for film and videography. My assignment that included the use Premiere Prow, was to edit a 45sec package using the clips given. Overall, I would say doing this assignment was pretty easy for me since I already was familiar with the software but that isn't to say I didn't learn many new things. One of the things I learned that made editing better and made my package flow well was the constant power effect. This effect made the audio sound way better took away the choppiness of the clips.

Creating the whole package was really interesting. I really enjoyed playing around with the position of the clips. Layering really helped me with tying all together. I was able to make it so that while the interviewee was talking there were clips over of what he was talking about. It caused my timeline to look really interesting and in the end, I was very proud of everything.

One major challenge I had was that my work didn't save. This really set me back a lot and made things difficult for me but in the end, I was able to persevere and finish my work. Something the was really easy for me was exporting. Since I was already familiar with premiere, exporting my work was probably the easiest thing to do.

I think next time I am going to try and color the clips to make it look nicer. Coloring is something that I really struggle with, but it is such an important skill to have to make projects look nice and complete. So next time, hopefully I can learn how to color and add it to my project. I think that this project is really going to help me with my portfolio project in preparing me for what to expect which is a huge plus of doing it.

Well, thank you guys so much for reading. I hope that you found my experience as interesting as I did. Until next time!

Camera Work Reflection

Hey guys! Its Tejal, again, and today I'm going to be discussing about my journey with learning about camera work. So far it has been really interesting and I've learned a lot. First we discussed different types of  camera movements and their effects on the audience. I think my favorite is probably the random movement. I know it's a really simple shot but I think it's really cool because of the chaos and creativity it can add to the scene.

For our first project we focused solely on camera movements. We were given the task to create a very short story with the prompt "surprise," where we also had to include specific camera movements given along with the prompt. I had the idea of 2 girls who were going to prank their friend as the "surprise." Overall I think it came out pretty well for my first project. I was able to use all the different movements I needed to and it helped really understand how the different movements worked.

Here is my project!

After camera movements we moved on to different types of shots and techniques. I think my favorite type of shot is a close-up for sure because of the dramatic effect it creates. My favorite techniques is definitely is a focus pull. I just think that a focus pull is so cool and I love how it changes the focus in the scene. For the project regarding different types of shots, we had to take stills of different scenes and put them together to make a story. We were given a list of specific shots we had to use. Making this was really fun and just like the previous project it really helped me to understand the different shots and their effect on the audience.

Well, that's all I have for today! Thank you so much for reading, and \I'll see you next time! Byeeeee.
